Thales Alenia Space (located in Cannes) has signed a contract with Egyptian firm Nilesat to provide the Nilesat-201 telecommunication satellite, as well as associated services and ground stations.
Aims for February 2010: providing Direct-to-home services for Northern Africa, the Middle East and Gulf countries.
