Adhésion de la Tunisie au projet "Blue Med aviation civil"

La Tunisie a participé le 4 novembre dernier à Rome (Italie) aux travaux de la conférence ministérielle sur "la réalisation d'un espace aérien euroméditerranéen (Blue Med)". A cette occasion, les réprésentants de sept pays (Tunisie, Italie, Malte, Chypre, Albanie, Egypte, Jordanie), de la commission européenne et d'organisations européennes spécialisées dans l'aviation civile ont annoncé le lancement du projet «blue med aviation civil». Ce projet vise à améliorer la gestion de la circulation aérienne, augmenter la sécurité et équilibrer le rendement du service avec avantages économiques importants pour l'usage entier du transport aérien.

Mr Abderrahim Zouari, ministre du transport et chef de la délégation tunisienne, a souligné que l'adhésion de la Tunisie à ce projet rentable selon les études technico-économiques constitue une opportunité pour intégrer de plus grands projets euro-méditerranéens.

Le projet "blue med aviation civil" vient concrétiser la décision de la commission européenne de créer un espace aérien européen unifié. Cet espace comprend l'Italie, Malte, Grèce et Chypre (pays membres de l'Union européenne) en plus de la Tunisie, Egypte, Jordanie et Albanie en tant que pays associés à l'UE.

French and Tunisian open source professionals getting together

The workshop "Competitiveness cluster and clustering around free software" organized on July 22nd 2008 at the Elgazala technopark has welcomed French and Tunisian experts, as well as Lamia Chafia Sghaier, Secretary of State at the Tunisian IT Ministry, responsible for IT, Internet and free software.

Among IT professionals from Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur were Traian Muntean, research manager at SCS competitiveness cluster, Anne-Ingrid De Miras, communication manager at Libertis (FLOSS cluster), and Lotfi Hamdi, head of the international relationships department at Marseille Innovation.

Libertis representative suggested to create a CD with open source freeware. Moreover, Hassen Hamdi, Tunisian doctorate student, will soon go to Tunisia to chair a workshop on Internet monitoring software free of charge.

Tunisia could be the guest of honour at a professional trade show on free software in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur for the second time. Invitations have been launched for the next IT event in Marseilles.

First Euro-Mediterranean university

Gathering in a research and higher education pole (PRES), the 3 universities of Marseille (Provence, Méditerranée and Paul Cézanne) will be associated to the universities in Tunis (Tunis, Al Manar, 7th November at Carthage) and in Sfax. This partnership has been initiated during the official visit of French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, in Tunis.

The agreement focuses on environmental issues, promoting training (master and PhD), supporting the creation of a joint diploma and the setting up in Sfax of a laboratory based on the model of the CEREGE (European research and training centre on environmental geosciences). Universitary exchanges will also be encouraged (in particular as regards water, waste treatment and the safeguard of the coastline), as well as research and entrepreneurship (in fields like energy, transportation, public health...).
