On July 4th in Granada (Andalucia), Michel Vauzelle, President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regional council has been confirmed president of the Intermediterranean Commission of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CRPM). Since 2006, has has been working on a joint development and solidarity policy in the Mediterranean area. The Intermediterranean Commission has contributed to the maritime policy Green paper on a maritime policy and has organized the first international convention for a territorial approach to development (Marseilles, March 5th-7th 2007).
