Transnational cooperation programme MED

The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region will chair for the first time the programme MED (Interreg IIIB Medocc) which aims at stimulating competitiveness and promoting sustainable development in the Mediterranean area wiith 4 major directions of development : promoting innovation and economic development; putting forward territorial resources, limiting human impact on the environment and preventing risks; improving accessibility and mobility; promoting sustainable urban development.
The European Union will give a € 193 million contribution to this programme involving 9 member states (Cyprus, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Slovenia).
